The first four beats of Impeach The President by the Honeydrippers, are ubiquitous to the 80s and 90s Hip-Hop era. The beat has been sampled in over 700 songs, making it one of the most sampled beats in the history of Hip-Hop and was truly instrumental in defining the sound of that early hip-hop era

Most pre-millennials will know the first four beats of the song, but most will not know the entire song itself, after the rest of the band joins in. They also don't know how funky a band the Honeydrippers actually were, or the fact that it was written during a time when Nixon, our then president, was about to be impeached. The song was basically in agreement saying the ‘presidents got to go’.
