Jillian is the FIRST Bootcamper to release a single on iTunes. Her song was produced and Co-written by Alex ‘Lex’ Goumas; one of JAMBOX Entertainment’s fascinating producer/engineers. Their collaboration delivers the next teen summer chart topper.
Crazy for You is ideal for dancing in your house while friends are over. It’s perfectly fine to sing along with Jillian and tell that guy “I won’t be falling crazy for you.”
R.e.a.P and B3B3’ are a perfect musical match, who together released Ill Tandem on May 24, 2014. R.e.a.P is an Artist, Songwriter, Producer, and Engineer. B3B3’ (pronounced BAY-BAY) is a Hip Hop artist, Performer and Songwriter. R.e.a.P was inspired by Hip Hop culture and began writing at the age of 18. While B3B3’ started rapping and singing at the age of 14.
Ill Tandem is a 20 song project with many collaborations. R.e.a.P took part in the Recording, editing, mixing, and producing of the project. It was also recorded and edited by B3B3’, mastered by Lee Evans, and Produced by: Adrian Desmond, Drew Chap, V.I Musik Rayman, Peter Jorge and Ashlee Chanelle.

“Who needs a heart?” Seems like we’re just trying to understand what love really has to do with it. If you haven’t figured it out here goes. Its all about the fun without the extra emotions. “If you think I’m gonna fall,” for that time that one falls and the other doesn’t. the lyrics speak the brutal truth that there can be a side that doesn’t really care about love. You can’t confuse lust and love, but you always have to say what you mean and mean what you say.

Emma Agu was the only Nigerian artist chosen to perform at the Inaugural Ball on Sunday. Other artists that performed at the event include Beyonce, Bono, Bruce Springsteen, and Stevie Wonder. Now based in the U.S., Agu hopes that his countrymen will learn from the election that “there is no East, West, North, and South but One Nigeria where every Nigerian should be given the right to take whatever legal position one chooses to contest.” The musician is no stranger to political songs. During the 1980’s he wrote and performed “War Against Indiscipline” at the Kwara State Stadium to welcome the visiting head of state. Agu’s latest track, “Obama: The Wind of Change” is described by him as “how the frenzy of this election swept through the world.” Although the song will be available on his upcoming CD, Agu said that he didn’t write the song for profit, but to “contribute to the on-going happiness that has touched the whole world.
Sulimon's anthemic anti-war funk stylings are now available to stream on Airplay Direct. All five tracks on the site come from his latest album, Rebellion, which was recorded and mastered earlier this year at JAMBOX. The music journey of Dave "Holiday" Sylvester began when he was five years old in the Bedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, New York. His big brother Gerald, who had just joined a marching band, began teaching Dave drum patterns on the family's waching machine. This carried on until their mother bought them an actual drum set. Dave then moved on to play bass and keyboards in addition to the drums and background and lead vocals.
Dave quickly learned how to harmonize vocal parts to create dense textures that would compliment his writing style. He found influence in acts such as The Jackson 5, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Commodores, Kool & the Gang and Barry White.
Starting off with two tape machines Dave began to experiment with recording techniques. After moving on to his first 4-track machine he began to produce his own material, layering the backing vocal harmonies he arranged for his songs. Finally, he moved into the world of digital recording and taught himself how to produce music in this medium. This has become one of his best assets in creating new music.
Gerald noticed that we all needed a good song for the biggest holiday of the year. He challenged Dave to take some time away from his regular schedule of writing, arranging and recording to work on “The Thanksgiving Song”.
KOFFI DIDIER SEMENOU is a musician, songwriter, and producer from West Africa. He was born in Togo, where he first picked up the bass guitar in 1986. Attending a musical school in Lome the next year, his love and passion for his instrument led him to perform in school concerts. Although his parents did not approve of his artistic calling, the autodidactic musician decided that performing was his reason for living. As he used to say: "IF YOU WANT YOU CAN." In 1990 he went on to join the band HOTSUI 7. During this time he also composed his first slow and zook songs. The next five years were spent listening to, studying, and playing the music of mythical african artists. In 1996 he found new inspiration in jazz music, enabling him to add new dimension to his work. Two years later, he formed HOTSI GROUP, and has since become a leader in african traditional and modern music.
The dynamic and multitalented FALLON DRAVIE joined HOTSI in 1998 as a guitarist, singer, and composer, with ambitions of becoming an Afro-music star.
Hotsi released AFRIKAVI (2002) in Togo, which delt with traditional African issues. Currently residing in New York, they are working hard to add HIP HOP and R&B flavor to their unique music stylings which they call "AFROMIX". Their second album, FATE, came out this year.

Nine Inch Nails Release New Album “The Slip” for Free
A mere two months after surprising fans with the web-released Ghosts I-IV and two weeks after surprising radio stations with new single “Discipline,” Trent Reznor and his prolific Nine Inch Nails announced this morning that their hinted-at new album The Slip was available as a free and immediate download. According to Reznor, the album is being given away for free as a “thank you to our fans for your continued support.” The album features ten tracks and is once again licensed by Creative Commons, allowing fans to remix it, repost it and do what they wish with it. Reznor also promises CD and vinyl copies in July.

Gnarls Barkley is back! Last we saw the eccentric oddball pairing of Cee-Lo Green and Danger Mouse they were the auteurs behind what eventually became the pseudo-underground cult album of the year. I say "pseudo" because obviously the music conveys that feel, even though everyone and their grandma was bopping to "Crazy". Well not my grandma. Or Lori's. But everyone else's.
Anyways the GB has returned to the scene, and it sounds like they're packing the the same hip-hop infused soul-groove-thingamajiggy that made their last album St. Elsewhere a hit. Here's the first single, "Run," which features a guest appearance by Justin Timberlake. Remember: it's not a cool edgy video for the kiddies if JT doesn't make a cameo:
And now here's the second one, just leaked yesterday by ?uestlove of The Roots. Pretty sure this isn't the actual video just ?uest playing around with the song itself. But still pretty cool. And you hearing it before "the masses," which makes you cool too!

Besides being a wonderful introduction to an artist, I like this clip because it's a great example of the music-making process creating wonderful content. Even if the song isn't your cup of tea, the first couple minutes watching her create something out of nothing is still compelling.
I'd encourage artists to take advantage of video, and get footage of them creating their music. There's little downside to having the clips to play with, and visually seeing you create the song might give a track that extra oomph in connecting people with your music. I'm all about Imogen Heap now, and it's all because of this clip.
Maybe we can get Lori or The Referee to shoot a little video magic for us sometime in the near future.
The Assimilated Negro Did you know Michael Jackson was bankrupt? This article's from a couple years ago now, but I never read or saw anything detailing how bad it was for him. I mean it makes sense, dude obviously is carrying a lot of expenses. But it's amazing, and really kind of sad, to think the former "King of Pop," greatest selling artist ever, Mr. Thriller, Beat It, Billy Jean, and so many more. Is totally broke? I mean between his solo work and the Jackson 5, how much of his music is played in the world everyday. And he owns half the publishing (or used to) for The Beatles catalog also. How do you go broke with the royalties for Michael Jackson and The Beatles on your balance sheet?

Kimberley Locke, the 3rd runner up in “American Idol” Season 2 following Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken, was in to do morning show radio interviews live from our studio A to support her stance against breast cancer and to promote her new album. Look out for her album “Based on a True Story” You may have seen Kimberly on “Celebrity Boot Camp on VH1”. She looks really in shape, and her mental is on point
